Koko crater botanical garden is a hidden gem in Honolulu. It is an easy 2 mile hike through a stunning botanical garden. This is the perfect time to go since everything is starting to bloom. This place is free and an amazing little adventure. The path is very easy to walk which is great since there are so many views to take in. There are Hawaiian plants, African and Madagascan plants, Cactus and Succulent garden, Dryland palms, and a Plumeria grove. This botanical garden started in 1958 and the plant collections take over 60 acres of the inner slopes and basin of the crater. They are open everyday besides Christmas and New Years Day.
