Laie Falls and Summit

Laie falls and summit is about a 6 mile hike in total to a small but beautiful waterfall (a bit longer if you hike to the summit). The views are gorgeous and it is a great place to explore. The hike to the waterfall is not too difficult but it is long! The hike past the waterfall to the summit is harder due to the narrow path and mud. The waterfall is only about 15 feet but it still offers an amazing and quiet view. The flow was steady this day due to the rainfall. This hike requires a permit however, it is easy to obtain. The hike is on private property and there are many no trespassing signs. The permit can be obtained from the Laie shopping center from Hawaii Reserves. There are not many people or tourists on this hike which is a plus but be sure to bring good hiking shoes and expect to get really muddy!
